Mark Shaw’s photographs can be found in the collections of many prominent photography collectors. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Aniston, and Martha Stewart are among the well known figures who own his vintage or posthumous prints.
Vintage Prints
Mark Shaw’s vintage silver gelatin prints were all produced under his supervision. There are a limited number of these prints availablefor sale. Most depict the Kennedy family. There are a few vintage prints available of Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel and other celebrities. They were produced during the 1950s and early 1960s.
Vintage prints are black and white and are available in a range of sizes, though most are 8×10, 11×14 or 16×20.

Posthumous ( Modern) Prints
Posthumous (modern) prints were made after Mark Shaw’s death in 1969. Originally, The Mark Shaw Photographic Archive worked with master printer Ned Gray from Mark Shaw’s original negatives to create editioned prints in both color and black and white. A small number of these “silver” posthumous prints are available through our galleries.
Giclee prints
Most recently, The Mark Shaw Photographic Archive has decided to offer only giclee posthumous prints. These are modern prints made from digital files. These images have been scanned from Mark Shaw’s original negatives and transparencies and meticulously restored under the supervision of Mark Shaw’s son, David Shaw.
The Mark Shaw Photographic Archive’s giclee prints are sold in limited editions of 15 or 30 and are authenticated, signed and numbered by David Shaw. They are printed to order on acid-free paper with archival inks. Giclee prints are available in a range of sizes. Most are produced in standard digital print sizes of 11×17, 17×22 and 24×36. Custom sizes are available upon request.
