We count ourselves pretty damn lucky this week. Not only have we managed to exist in the same time as the late David Bowie, two major photography exhibitions are opening in Singapore this week, resurrecting icons which have been influential at some point of our creative lives.
Thanks to Leica, Singapore has been picked to be the Asian debut of Mark Shaw’s extensive collection of images shot by his Leica M2. The LIFE photographer has captured the most intimate moments of individuals such as the Kennedys and Audrey Hepburn, as well as fashion’s elite. Back in the day, he was invited to document Dior’s early foray into the industry from 1952 to 1962, as well as shoot portraits of Yves Saint Laurent and Coco Chanel. The art world certainly didn’t forget him — a portrait of Picasso will hang alongside other revered personalities in this exhibition. . .
